Charles joined the Smith family on June 11, 1979, joyfully becoming the son to Patty and Willis B. Smith, Jr., and younger brother to Virginia. He attended Texarkana, Arkansas public schools, Opportunities, Inc., and graduated proudly from Wasatch Academy.
He was preceded in death by his loving father, B., whose memory he treasured dearly.
Charles was known for his positivity, good sense of humor, and caring personality. He was grateful for the kindness and support shown to him by those in his life. He loved music, gaming, chess, spending family time at Grassy Lake, and his chats with his nephew, Wyeth.
Charles resided in Hot Springs, Arkansas for the majority of his adult life, where he passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Tuesday, August 4. His family cherishes their memories of Charles, looking back fondly to the day he became a Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Patty Smith of Rhinebeck, New York; sister Virginia Smith, her husband Patrick Robinson, and their son Wyeth Robinson of New York, New York.
Memorial graveside services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Diane Brown officiating.
