5:00 p.m. Thursday | A two-vehicle collision sent one person to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Christmas evening.
The collision occurred when a Chevrolet SUV traveling southbound on Highway 59 made contact with a Lincoln Navigator turning from Kings Highway onto Highway 59. According to a DPS officer on scene, the vehicle turning onto Highway 59 may have been trying to turn when the traffic light was yellow.
Three people in the other vehicle, including a young child, were not injured.
