Community Water Forum Rescheduled to February 2 Due to Weather

The City of Texarkana, Texarkana Water Utilities, and Riverbend Water Resources have rescheduled a Community Water Forum due to inclement weather.

The event, originally planned for January 26, will now take place Monday, February 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Southwest Center.

The open-house style forum is designed to provide information and answer questions related to water services, recent billing concerns, and long-term infrastructure investments. No formal presentation is planned, and residents are encouraged to stop by at any time during the two-hour window.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with City staff, Riverbend, and Texarkana Water Utilities representatives for one-on-one assistance.

Topics will include the Advanced Metering Infrastructure Program, which uses new meters to improve accuracy and customer access to usage data; TWU system improvements and upcoming water and sewer projects; the water service line inventory currently being conducted; and the Riverbend Regional Water Infrastructure Program.

TWU customer service representatives will also be available to provide individualized account assistance.
