4:00 p.m. Thursday | An accident involving a motorcycle on Texas Blvd. at 40th St. has left one person dead Thursday afternoon.
While the investigation continues, officers have been able to determine the following. A 2006 Honda motorcycle, operated by a 36 year old man from New Boston, Texas, was traveling southbound in the outside lane of Texas Boulevard at a high rate of speed.
A 72 year old man from Texarkana, Texas was northbound on Texas Boulevard in a 1998 Ford Expedition. As he attempted to turn left onto West 40th Street, the motorcycle struck the vehicle on the passenger side of the vehicle.
