Flossie Beatrice Attaway

January 3, 1940 – September 22, 2026

Flossie Beatrice Attaway, age 86, of Fouke, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Attaway was born on January 3, 1940, in Miller County, Arkansas, and was a lifelong resident of Fouke, Arkansas. Mrs. Bea was a retired Seamstress who dedicated many years to serving customers throughout the Texarkana area. She was employed by several department stores and businesses, including West Department Store, JCPenney, and Bea’s Alterations. She was a true person who never met a stranger. Mrs. Bea had a warm and welcoming personality and could easily strike up a conversation with anyone, even a stranger. She was well known and loved throughout her community and was deeply dedicated to her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and known for her delicious coconut cake, and a gifted seamstress who took great pride in her work. She enjoyed spending time working in her yard and tending to her garden. She also had a special love for animals, especially her many cats, which she lovingly cared for. Most of all, Bea cherished her family, who were the center of her life and brought her great joy. She was a member of Concord Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, her grandson, Westly Attaway, her son, Donald Attaway, and her parents, W. R. Nall and Ella Mae Nall.

She is survived by her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Daniel Attaway of Texarkana, Texas; Dewayne and Cheryl Attaway of Fouke, Arkansas; her four grandchildren, Steven Attaway and his wife, Shelly; Michael Attaway and his wife, Raychel; Vickie Pennington and her husband, Jason; and Deanna Matlock and her husband, Justin; her eleven grandchildren, Raygean Attaway, Micah Attaway, Malachi Attaway, Rayla Attaway, Chloe Pennington, Malia Pennington, Olivia Pennington, Gabriella Pennington, Levi Pennington, Calista Attaway, and Blakely Matlock and a host of friends and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A. M. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, 4801 Parkway Drive, Texarkana, Arkansas 71854, with Rev. Daniel Attaway and Rev. Dewayne Attaway officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, on Friday evening from 6:00 P. M. to 7:30 P. M.
