Game warden run over during high speed chase

A local game warden suffered minor injuries after a suspect ran over his foot while officers were attempting to stop a vehicle during a high speed chase on Richmond Road.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle allegedly involved in a residential burglary at the end of Richmond Rd. in the bottoms when the vehicle fled reaching reported speeds of 100 mph.

According to radio traffic the vehicle attempted to ram police vehicles multiple times to avoid arrest.

According to police on scene Texas game warden Shawn Hervey was approaching the vehicle when it struck him and ran over his foot.   Moments later another game warden rammed the suspect vehicle blocking it into a fenced area.

Two suspects were removed from the vehicle and placed in custody.  The driver kicked out the window of Bowie County Sheriff’s Deputy vehicle after he was placed in it.

No details have yet been released on the charges the driver and passenger are facing.
