As part of Girl Scouts Give Back Week, Girl Scouts-Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas donated 304 cases / 3,656 boxes of cookies to Harvest Texarkana Regional Food Bank and Church of Truth: Soup of the Day Soup Kitchen.

Girl Scouts Give Back Week commenced in 2014 and is held annually at the end of the Girl Scout Cookie Season. Local Troops, 2413 and 2372-Bluebonnet Service Unit, had top cookie sales in the area and received the pleasure of unloading the cookie truck and earning a unique patch from Diamonds CEO, Dawn Prasifka.

Camille Wrinkle, Executive Director of Harvest Texarkana Regional Food Bank explained why this event is so important to our area.

“I just think it’s a great example of learning at an early age the importance of giving back. Place like the Harvest Texarkana Regional Food Bank rely on community support to provide the resources for our mission.”
