High School Principal Announces Resignation

During a staff meeting, Principal Eva Nadeau announced her resignation as principal of Arkansas High School with plans to leave at the end of the school year. “I have enjoyed my journey as an educator and I have built meaningful relationships along the way,” said Nadeau. “Serving as the high school principal has been a joy and I look forward to seeing the great things that will happen at Arkansas High.”  Ms. Nadeau’s education career spans thirty years. During her seventeen-year tenure in the Texarkana Arkansas School District, she served as a band, gifted/talented and EAST teacher, campus magnet coordinator, and Arkansas High School assistant principal and principal.

“We appreciate Ms. Nadeau’s hard work and dedication over the past four years as the high principal. Her commitment to her students is unwavering,” commented Superintendent Dr. Becky Kesler. “ Under Ms. Nadeau’s leadership, several great programs were initiated at the high school.” Dr. Kesler also stated that the Board, administration, and teaching staff will continue to focus on ensuring that academic excellence and a safe and nurturing environment remain a priority at Arkansas High.

Within the coming weeks, the administration will begin a rigorous selection process. “We are committed to finding a new highly-qualified principal to lead the staff and students to an exciting and successful future.”
