ATLANTA — The Texas Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD), has reopened US 59/71 at the Red River between Texarkana, TX and Ashdown, AR. The highway has been closed since Friday, June 26, due to Red River floodwaters.
The US 259 Red River crossing between DeKalb, TX and Idabel, OK remains closed until repairs can be made to the highway on either side of the river.
