Hope police searching for Triple J robbery suspects

On August 11, 2015, at approximately 4:10am officers of the Hope Police Department responded to the 2600 block of North Hazel Street in Hope, also known as Triple J Shell Gas Station, in reference to a robbery that had just occurred.

Upon arrival officers made contact with the store clerk, and learned that at approximately 4am, two black males with their faces covered entered the store. One of the suspects ran up to the counter and pointed what appeared to be a handgun concealed inside of a sock at the clerk. The second suspect ran around the counter and struck the clerk on the left side of his head with a wooden stick. The clerk was then instructed to open the register. The two suspects then fled from the store with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise.

One of the suspects is described as a black male with a slender build and approximately 6 ft tall. The other male suspect is described as having a bigger build and also approximately 6 ft tall. Both males were wearing dark pants, white shirts, and had their faces covered.

The store clerk was treated at Wadley Regional Medical Center at Hope for injuries sustained during the robbery and was later released.
