Hugh Hardy Hood, a lifelong resident of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at 10:45 p.m. at the Vitas Hospice Inpatient Unit at Methodist Dallas Medical. Born on December 27, 1943, Hugh earned his high school diploma and lived a life marked by quiet dignity and steadfastness.
Hugh is survived by John Winborn, Betty Lou. A man of simple pleasures and enduring character, Hugh was deeply cared for during his final days by the compassionate staff at Vitas Hospice.
He leaves behind fond memories in the hearts of those who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Stateline Cemetery, with the service concluding at 1:30 p.m.
The family is being assisted by Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services.
Hugh Hood will be remembered for his calm spirit and the warmth he brought to those around him.
