Red River Army Depot will be closed Monday, January 26, due to dangerous road conditions on and around the facility, according to a press release issued Sunday.
As of 2 p.m. Sunday, road conditions at the depot were designated as BLACK status. Only emergency vehicles and public works personnel are authorized to operate on depot roads under these conditions.
Team members will be placed on administrative leave for Monday. Timekeepers will receive specific instructions and codes for the payroll system.
The depot urged area residents to stay safe as many roads across the region remain hazardous.
Officials said they will continue monitoring road conditions and provide an updated status Monday afternoon regarding potential reopening.
Red River Army Depot is a major employer in the Texarkana area, providing maintenance and repair services for military vehicles and equipment.
