A Miller County inmate who was booked into the detention center on August 26th was found in his cell with head injuries which were later believed to be self-inflicted.

Scotty Lynn Grammar, 35, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to register as a sex offender.

Grammar was transported to the Miller County Detention Center, booked in and placed into a holding cell by himself.

According to the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, during a routine inmate count, Grammer was found in his cell with what seemed to be a head injury.

He was then transported to a local hospital where he underwent medical treatment.

Officials say, thus far, there is no evidence indicating that this was anything other than a self-inflicted injury.

MCSO along with Arkansas State police are conducting a full investigation on the incident.
