Joseph Raymond Fine Art presented an art show on Thursday evening, November 2, 2017 from 5pm – 9pm.  The Omega building, at 216 Olive St in downtown Texarkana, AR, was filled early on with eager art enthusiasts and friends of the five artists that were showcased.  Artists included three painters, Tyler Arnold, Joseph Raymond, and Cindy Holmes.  Metal sculptor, Jared Horton and glass artist, James Haynes were also featured.

The atmosphere was light and festive.  Refreshments, conversation and art were enjoyed by all. When asked about why the event was held at the Omega building, owner, Sheila Osborne Wagnon explained, “Joseph organized this event.  He and I are good friends and it just worked out. I love having a reason to host parties at our beautiful building.”

Easels holding the artists paintings lined the main room.  There were colorful abstracts full of texture and movement.  Animal prints and portraits were also present. Vivid glass bowls and corkscrews were displayed on tables in the center room.  Upstairs held more chances to view these artists’ work.

Veronica Jones attended the event with her daughter Valentina.  “I’m here to support our friend, Jared Horton.  His pieces are just beautiful. It’s important for kids to come to these kinds of events, too,” she said
