November 20, 2014 | Lane closures for concrete paving operations on US 82 between FM 1840 in De Kalb and SH 98 near New Boston are being planned by the contractor beginning December 1, 2014 subject to weather conditions. The contractor plans to use flaggers to queue traffic and a pilot car to shuttle traffic thru the work zone using one lane.
Travelers are encouraged to seek alternate routes or to expect delays using this section of US 82 in Bowie County. Lane closures are expected to be needed for approximately one month during this construction phase and may begin before sunrise and last until after sunset.
