As Texarkana temperatures keep rising, Randy Sams Outreach Center asked for the community’s help to keep the homeless hydrated by donating pallets of water to the shelter.

In the last week, Randy Sams has received multiple donations delivered by local companies, citizens of Texarkana, as well as churches.

“It has been extraordinary”, said a Randy Sams representative.

Today Verizon Wireless, Three Chick Feed, Miller Bowie, Sam’s Club, and Walmart donated 42,000 bottles of water to the shelter.

“I couldn’t stop thinking about a quote from my companies credo. “We are good corporate citizens and share our success with the community to make the world in which we work better than it was yesterday.” I believe that the Randy Sam’s Shelter and all the companies [that donated] truly represent that quote. I am so proud that I was able to partner with all these companies to change our community. When small businesses rally together for change great things can happen,” said Kerry Rowland, Verizon Wireless Account Executive.

Donating companies included Verizon Wireless, Church On The Rock, Pop-A-Lock of Texarkana, Law Offices of Bobby Howell
3 Chicks Feed, Seed & Cafe, More Time Smart Phone Repair, Beach Equipment, Vapor Stop, Young, Thornton & Sheppard Insurance,
New Boston Concrete, Twice as Nice Security, Lawrence Termite & Pest Control, Jack Yates Drywall, CLB Engineering, Four States Furniture, Serenity Hospice, Miller Bowie Supply, and Wal-mart.
