Local Firefighter is ready at any moment

Firefighter, Tony Hemby, was found outside Central Fire Station in Texarkana, Texas Thursday, June 22, 2017 running laps and jumping rope with an air tank attached to his back.

Hemby has been with the fire department for nearly 17 years. The department requires a minimum of one hour of exercise for each shift. Chief Eric Schlotter said, “physical fitness is extremely important to us. Tony is definitely is one of our great employees and does great work for the city. He works out very hard and sets the pace for newer employees.”
