A car and an empty log truck were involved in an motor vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 59 and 2148 Tuesday afternoon that sent two people to the hospital.
Liberty Eylau Volunteer Fire Department responded to the accident with Wake Village Fire Department providing mutual aid.
The cause of the accident was still under investigation. The log truck was traveling north on 59 when it impacted the front of a car turning onto 59 at 2148.
The condition of those involved is unknown at this time.
