Major Interstate accident slows traffic east of town


7:20 a.m. Tuesday | An accident involving a Waste Management garbage truck and a car left eastbound Interstate 30 traffic congested just east of Mandeville, Ark.

The accident caused the garbage truck to burst into flames.

One person was reported trapped in the car and was extricated by Texarkana, Ark. Fire Department.

Two people were transported by LifeNet with unknown injuries.   The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
