TEXARKANA, Ark–A 57-year-old Texarkana, Ark., man has been arrested for rape in Miller County involving a child approximately 4 years old, according to court documents.

Allen McClure is currently free on a $250,000 bond. He was arrested Nov. 3 and released Nov. 5, court records show. At a first initial court appearance Nov. 5, McClure was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim or the child’s family.

In setting McClure’s bond, the court noted his long history of residing and working steadily in the area. Records filed in the case thus far do not indicate how McClure allegedly had access to the child or their relationship. Records do state that the child has been interviewed forensically at a children’s advocacy center.
