Christus St. Michael Health System security alerted Texarkana, Texas police that a gunshot victim had just arrived in the ER around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
According to Texarkana, Texas Police Department public information officer Sergeant Mike Jones, The incident is believed to have occurred in the area of 4800 Elizabeth Street. Jones said, “The victim arrived at the hospital in a personal vehicle with a gunshot wound to the hand.”
According to police he told officers that he had been robbed near Town North Apartments on Elizabeth Street.
Police have not yet released the name of the victim. According to Jones the cause of the shooting is still under investigation
