A man accused of stealing a car is in custody after leading police on a multi-state chase across Texarkana Tuesday evening.
Jason Benson was taken into custody after wrecking into a utility pole on Highway 82.
Police spotted the stolen car and attempted to stop it multiple times Tuesday evening but it got away.
Benson led police from both sides of Texarkana, Bowie County Sheriff’s Deputies, Miller County Deputies, and Arkansas State Police on the chase.
Police eventually used a pit maneuver to stop Benson. He was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening and was later booked into the Miller County Jail for fleeing by vehicle and theft by receiving.
