Man jumps out of moving car following argument with girlfriend

A man was seriously injured Monday morning on University Ave. after jumping out of a moving vehicle while arguing with his girlfriend.

Robert Hamby, 27, of Texarkana, Texas was the front seat passenger in a 2007 Ford Focus travelling northbound on University near Richmond Road.

According to Texarkana, Texas Police Spokesperson Shawn Vaughn, “he became involved in some type of argument with the driver, Jacqueline King, 27, of Texarkana, Texas. While the vehicle was moving, Hamby opened his door and jumped out. He suffered what appeared to be head trauma and was transported to Wadley Regional Medical Center by LifeNet.”

LifeNet, Texarkana, Texas Police, and Texarkana, Texas Fire Department were quickly on scene.

According to Vaughn neither his condition or the exact nature of his injuries are known and detectives are investigating the incident.
