Margaret Ann Jordan, age 89, of Hooks, TX, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
Margaret was born on November 17, 1936, in Paris, TX, to her parents, Sylvester McDougal and Lucy Wheeler McDougal. She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker; but her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was Christian by faith and attended Myrtle Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jordan; her parents, Sylvester and Lucy McDougal; and brother, Kenneth McDougal.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Jill and Ronnie Jones of Hooks, TX, and Robbie and Jerry Hobgood of Paris, TX; her grandchildren, Derek Jones and wife Cara of Hooks, TX, Kyle Jones and wife Casey of Hooks, TX; great grandchildren, Jordyn Jones, Jaxsen Jones, Adelynn Jones, and Dally Easley; nephew, Robert McDougal of Paris, TX; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A graveside service for Mrs. Jordan will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Myrtle Springs Cemetery with Bro. Kyle Peters officiating.
Mrs. Jordan will lie in state from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM on Thursday, August 13. 2026 at Chapelwood Funeral Home located at 1015 N Kings Highway in Nash, TX 75569.
The family would like to give a very special thanks to the staff at The Oaks for the care, compassion, and love they showed Miss Margaret during her stay.
