Nash Police ID Burger King Hit and Run Suspect Now at Large With Felony Warrants

UPDATE: Cotton has been arrested by TTPD officer J. Johnson inside the El Chaparral Trailer park on N. Kings Highway after a tip off to police by a TXK Today reader.
On Monday, September 1, 2014, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a vandalism/hit and run call at 1910 N. Kings Hwy in Nash TX (The Burger King Exxon).
On scene, Officer’s Looney and Newton found the front of the business to be destroyed. Officers were advised by employees that a black BMW sedan drove through the front of the store then left the scene. Prior to leaving the scene, the suspect advised one of the clerks he had warrants out for his arrest and was leaving prior to law enforcement arriving.
After 2 tips from the public, Lt. Chestnutt and Detective Sutton were told the suspect was a Jeffrey Cotton W/M 26 years old. On 09-03-2014 Detective Sutton interviewed Cotton and determined Cotton was the suspect who had driven through the front of the Burger King Exxon. There has now been a warrant issued for Cotton for Criminal Mischief Over $1500 Under $20,000
