Nash Warning Sirens go online wednesday July 8, 2015

According to the City of Nash new emergency warning sirens will be activated on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 12:00 noon.

Residents will hear the sirens being tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon.

“The sirens will provide warning for storms and hazardous situations and will be linked with the Bi-State emergency management for activation,” the city said in a press release.

According to the press release the sirens were purchased with a FEMA sponsored program that was managed by the Texas Department of Public Safety.  The total cost of the project was $48,017.
