New $18 Million Surgical Hospital Planned For Pleasant Grove Road

A new two-story surgical hospital is coming to the corner of Pleasant Grove Road and McKnight Road, according to records filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Pleasant Grove Surgical Hospital will be an $18 million, 36,000-square-foot, 6-bed facility, according to the filings.

Sources tell TXK Today that a local pain medicine physician has signed on as one of the first doctors at the new facility.

Construction is scheduled to start in early August, according to the TDLR records.

The project adds to a growing wave of healthcare investment in the Texarkana region. The surgical hospital will occupy a commercial lot at one of the area’s busiest intersections, visible from Pleasant Grove Road.

Additional details about the facility’s ownership structure and expected completion timeline were not immediately available in the state filings.
