Around 100 people gathered at the site of the new TISD Elementary school for a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday.
According to TISD Superintendent Paul Norton the new school will house 400 students with the capacity to expand to 700 easily in the future.
The school will be located on Gibson Lane between Pleasant Grove Rd. and Kings Highway.
According to Norton the naming rights for the new school are available to anyone wanting to make a significant donation.
Nash Elementary Choir performed for the crowd.
The new building is being funded by a 2014 bond election.
