Texarkana Texas Police Department Officers arrested Brioni Dansby, 28, of Texarkana, Texas for several felony charges after officers were forced to use the JPX Cobra Pepper Gun on November 10, 2015.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., officers received information that Dansby had two outstanding felony warrants and was at a residence in the 1800 block of West 17th Street. When officers arrived, they located Dansby playing cards with three other individuals in the garage at the residence. When officers confronted Dansby, he refused to raise his hands above the table despite the officers’ continued orders to do so. At the point that Dansby attempted to reach inside his one of his pants pockets, one of the officers deployed the JPX Cobra Pepper Gun at him. Dansby immediately was incapacitated by the pepper, collapsed to the floor and was taken into custody by the officers. A loaded semi-automatic pistol fell from Dansby’s pocket.

Dansby was transported to the Bi-State Jail. His bond has been set at $50,000 for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. No bond has been set on the two warrants – Probation Violation – Burglary of a Habitation and Failure to Appear – Theft of a Firearm. He remains incarcerated at this time.
