52-year-old Bridget Rene Primeaux of Linden, Texas was pronounced dead on scene after her vehicle hydroplaned on Highway 59 and was hit by an oncoming vehicle Wednesday afternoon. The accident occurred at approximately 2:12 p.m.
Primeaux was traveling south on U.S. 59 about 4.5 miles north of Linden, when her Dodge Durango hydroplaned across the center turn lane and into the path of northbound traffic, according to a fatal crash report issued by Texas DPS.
49-year-old Dennis Randall Rosenbaum of Texarkana, Texas was traveling northbound in a Peterbilt truck with a trailer when Primeaux hydroplaned into his path. Rosenbaum was transported to St. Michael Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries, and was treated and released.
Primeaux’s vehicle caught fire after the crash.
Primeaux was pronounced dead on scene at 2:28 p.m. and her body was transported to Reeder-Davis Funeral home in Linden, Texas.
