According to Texarkana, Texas Police Department the man found deceased Sunday afternoon has been identified as Billy Leon Evans, 61, of Maud, Texas.
Around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 4300 block of North State Line Avenue where they located Evans in an unsecured storage building behind a vacant business.
Police responded after neighborhood children reported to a nearby resident that they had found the man’s remains. There were no signs of foul play and the initial investigation indicated that the man died of natural causes.
The investigation into the death was completed and determined that Evans died of natural causes.
