Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred at the Willows apartments in the 1400 block of E. 35th St. around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department Public Information Officer Kristi Bennett, an officer was in the area and heard the gunshots and was quickly on scene. Officers located one male victim who had sustained two gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported for medical attention and is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries at this time.
“At this time it’s believed that the suspects were intending to shoot this victim and no other injuries have been reported,” said Bennett.
Police have not release the victim’s name or any suspect information at this time.
