Probation Violation Turns into Drug Arrest

February 4, 2015 | On February 3, 2015, Sergeant Rob Hadaway and Deputy Lonnie Johnson received a call that Michael Ray Latham was at a home in the 2800 block of Farm to Market 2148 North, and advised that he had an outstanding felony probation violation warrant for his arrest.

The deputies arrived at this home and located Mr. Latham. Sergeant Hadaway arrested Mr. Latham for the active warrant and searched him after the arrest. During this search, Sergeant Hadaway located three plastic bags containing methamphetamine in Mr. Latham’s jacket pocket. The contents of the three bags were found to weigh around 6.5 grams.

Mr. Latham was taken to the Bi-State Jail where he was booked in for his warrant and possession of a controlled substance over four grams and under 200 grams. His bond has been set at $40,000.00.
