Public Assistance Requested on Pedestrian Hit and Run

The Texarkana Texas Police Department continues to investigate a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on December 12, 2015.

On December 12, 2015 at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to a call in reference to a woman lying on the side of the road in the 4900 block of N. Stateline Avenue – near the McDonalds Restaurant. Upon arrival, officers found a female who appeared to be seriously injured. She was transported to an area hospital by LifeNet EMS and later airlifted to a hospital in Little Rock due to the extent of her injuries. We believe that she was struck by a passing vehicle while walking along the street curb.

The still unidentified female victim remains hospitalized in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

We are attempting to identify a male who was in the area at the time of the accident as a possible witness. A photograph of the man and the vehicle we believe that he was driving is attached.
