Recover unclaimed money today in Texarkana

The Texas Comptroller’s Office is at 601 Main Street in Texarkana today handing out unclaimed money until 6 p.m.

According to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Texas has more than 25 million properties from forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, overpayments, refunds, insurance premiums and mineral royalties.

There is currently about $3.4 billion in property that has not been claimed and approximately $586 million in shared property that has been partially claimed and paid to some of the owners.
