Richard Stahl selected to represent Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) as the Region VIII Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year

Richard Stahl, Texas High School Associate Principal for Student Management & Campus Operations, has been selected to represent Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) as the Region VIII Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year.

TASSP recognizes outstanding assistant principals from the twenty regional Education Service Centers throughout the state. School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their regions. Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership. As a Region VIII winner, Stahl is eligible to compete for the state title of the Texas Assistant Principal of the Year.

Stahl has been in the field of education for twelve years. He began his career in 2005 as a Secondary Teacher for Grand Prairie ISD and was promoted to Administrative Intern in 2009. Stahl joined the Texarkana Independent School District Tiger Family in 2011 as Assistant Principal at Texas High School. He currently serves as an Associate Principal for Student Management & Campus Operations.

Stahl holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Texas at Arlington and a Master in Educational Administration from National University.

Regional winners will be recognized during the Jostens Night of the Stars Awards Dinner at the 2018 TASSP Summer Conference in Austin. If selected as a state winner by the TASSP Principals Image Committee, he will advance to compete for the NASSP Assistant Principal of the Year.
