Shortly after 8 P.M. Sunday evening Texarkana went dark in a large portion of town North of Interstate 30 all along Summerhill Rd. and Richmond Rd. According to AEP’s website some 5,200 customers were without power.

Power crews were quickly on scene in the Gin Rd. & Richmond Rd. area seen spotlighting power lines. One individual who witnesses alleged was drunk pulled up and started harassing the linemen causing a police response to the area.
After almost 2 hours the crew restored power at the Gin Rd. Sub Station. The cause is unknown at this time.
