On April 14, 2015, a 79 year old woman was returning to her vehicle after leaving the store.  As she got to her vehicle, she was suddenly approached by a man who grabbed her purse from her arm.  She fell to the ground as he pulled the purse away from her. The man then ran to a waiting mid-1990’s maroon Ford Mustang that was being driven by another subject. The vehicle was last seen headed toward Mall Drive at a high rate of speed.  The victim was treated for minor injuries at Christus St. Michael Hospital and released later that day.

Whitley is being currently held in the Bi-State Jail.  His bond has been set at $100,000.
