A Spirit of Giving: U of A Hope-Texarkana Faculty and Staff Give Back

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana. Each year the faculty and staff at UAHT are given the opportunity to support the college and students by giving to the Bridge Builders fund through payroll deductions or one-time gifts. This year, an astounding 92% of UAHT employees chose to be “Bridge Builders.” These funds are used for campus improvements, scholarships, gas card programs for students and other beneficial student programs. Faculty and staff contributions to Bridge Builders funded four student scholarships this year at UAHT.

“Through the employee giving program, known on campus as “Bridge Builders,” faculty and staff elect to give a portion of their paychecks to the U of A Hope-Texarkana Foundation to assist students. These Bridge Builders have funded scholarships, assisted with campus projects, and helped students overcome everyday obstacles in pursuing their education. Our campus is a better place due to the generosity of our faculty and staff who genuinely want to improve UAHT,” said Jill Bobo, Executive Director of the UAHT Foundation.
