TAFD Extracts One From Car After Head-on Collision | State Line Ave.

7:15 p.m. Monday | Texarkana, Arkansas Fire Department an Police Department were on scene of a two vehicle head-on collision accident in the 1200 block of N. State Line Avenue.

According to radio traffic the accident occurred in front of a Texarkana, Arkansas police officer.

Fire was quickly on scene and used hydraulic rescue tools to cut the roof off the car in order to extract the driver who was trapped due to the dash pinning them in. It took fire fighters around 30 minutes to extract the driver from the car.

State Line Ave. was closed in both directions at 12th Street for about an hour why rescue crews worked. The cause of the accident or the condition of any people involved is unknown at this time.
