TAPD Cops and Kids at Pizza Inn

The annual Cops and Kids meal was held Thursday, December 18th, 2014 at Pizza Inn on North State Line Avenue. Police Officers of the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department meet at the station and formed two convoys.  One parade formation traveled to The Texarkana Baptist Orphanage and the other to Watersprings Ranch.

The children rode with a Police Officer in a Patrol Car, with lights and sirens, to Pizza Inn.

The Annual Cops and Kids program is a spirit of fellowship that takes place during the holiday season and it reinforces the positive aspects of community and Police relationships. These kids look forward to this event every year and we anticipate greeting and feeding sixty kids.

Seventeen year old Watersprings Ranch resident Jonathan Clayton said that he really enjoys the event.  “At first I was kind of intimidated but when you get to know them they are really nice,” said Clayton about the officers.
