The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is pleased to announce being the proud recipient of the 2015 Blue & You Foundation of a Healthier Arkansas Grant in the amount of $61,500. TAPD applied for this grant in July of 2014 with other agencies around the state. TAPD was one of 35 programs to receive funding. This is the second time TAPD has applied for this particular grant.
TAPD will work collaboratively with the Southwest Arkansas Taskforce to utilize the $61,500 to implement 6 different programs in the South West Arkansas area. Please see an attached list of the funded programs including a detailed description as well as a press release issued by the Arkansas Blue & You foundation for a list of all 35 programs funded.
