On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, Texarkana Arkansas School District Board of Directors held a special meeting to sign a contract to purchase 30 acres of land to build a new middle school facility.

The property is located between Jefferson Avenue and Crossroads Parkway, north of I-30, for a value of approximately $30,000 per acre and a tentative opening date for the year 2020. College Hill Middle School will transition into the Sixth Grade Center, while fourth-graders will remain on the elementary campus in lieu of moving up to the middle school.

The property owners, Wommack 6 Corporation, and Reynolds Realty Management are thrilled to be a part of the history of the school district and the growth of Texarkana, Arkansas.

Skylar Rogers, Sr. Vice President of Reynolds Realty Management Inc, said, “We believe the development of a new world-class TASD campus will be a catalyst for further development in a commercial corridor that has already seen $60M invested – from restaurants, hotels, the convention center, and Holiday Springs Water Park, of course.”

The new middle school will accommodate approximately 1,000 students, grades sixth through eighth.

Reynolds Realty Management Inc. is captivated by the long-term impact this will have on the community.

“This project serves as a source of pride, accomplishment, and inspiration for the next generation of students who will roam these hallways with a sense of purpose and direction, empowered as they lead us into the future,” emphasized Rogers.
