Texarkana College Testing Center Selected as Regional Medical Residency Testing Site

TEXARKANA, Texas — The Texarkana College Testing Center has been selected as a regional testing site for medical residents through a new partnership with Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM).

A recently executed Memorandum of Understanding authorizes the Testing Center to administer secure examinations for COM medical residents, including physicians completing residency programs at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System.

The agreement expands Texarkana College’s role as a regional testing resource by providing identity verification, professional proctoring, and secure testing procedures that meet institutional and state standards.

“We are proud to partner with Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine to provide a secure and convenient testing location for medical residents serving our region,” said Kathy Smith, Director of Testing and End User Technology at Texarkana College. “Our goal is to deliver a professional testing experience that upholds the highest standards of security and integrity while making it easier for physicians to complete their required assessments close to home. We are excited to welcome these medical professionals to our campus and support them as they continue their education and certification.”

By offering a local testing site, Texarkana College helps resident physicians complete required examinations close to where they live and work while maintaining the highest standards of exam security. The partnership also reinforces the Testing Center’s reputation as a trusted resource for academic, professional, licensure, and certification testing throughout the Four States Area.
