My name is Brent Ramage, owner of “Ramage Farms” and “Ramage Farm Weddings”. Our family has been faming here in the Red River Bottoms since 1955. In 2004, our evolving mule barn, built in 1930, underwent yet another renovation and was converted into a wedding venue.
Having attended several weddings in rural settings, a photographer friend and I decided that our location would lend itself as a beautiful backdrop overlooking the river bottoms as a wedding venue. Others have always commented on how peaceful and lovely our view is, so we went to work. Our venue is a work in progress as we continue to update and add to the facility to make it be a special place where “wedding dreams come true”.
The Texarkana area is a great place to do business. One of the true joys is having a young bride tell me that she remembers coming out to the farm with her elementary class when we were raising pumpkins. I have met many of those “pumpkin kids” over the years, and that makes me smile.

I was born and raised in Austin,Texas. I went to pastry school at Le Codon Bleu in Austin where I met my husband, Staley James, who is a Texarkana native (and Twisted Fork Executive Chef). We married in Austin in 2012 and both worked at different restaurants and bakeries. We moved to Texarkana in 2015 to work together and run Twisted Fork. in 2016 we extended our family and had a son; Hudson James who is now 9 months old. Twisted Fork started doing custom cakes and wedding cakes 2 years ago. I have been doing cakes my whole life, but professionally since 2009. I love making something that tastes good, but also looks just as pretty. Its pretty special to be apart of someone’s big day; even birthdays!
