Texas A&M University-Texarkana is now recruiting the fall 2017 cohort of its newly designed online superintendent preparation program.

The 12 semester credit hour post-master’s program may be completed in nine to 12 months (if summer is required for the internship) and prepares successful completers to take the state examination to become certified as a superintendent in the state of Texas.

All applicants must hold principal certification in Texas or certification/licensure in another state.

Out-of-state educators are invited to apply since the Texas superintendent certificate may be used to apply for comparable licensure or certification in other states.

Although A&M-Texarkana program participants must complete the superintendent internship during spring and/or summer 2018 in a Texas school district, university faculty will facilitate placement of all out-of-state students and on-site internship work may be completed during summer 2018.
