Texarkana Construction Update

Multiple construction projects will prompt the temporary closure of roads and intersections within city limits on Thursday, August 3.

North Park Road from Summerhill Road to Greenbrier Forest (East) will be closed to traffic to allow construction crews to lay new asphalt in the area. Construction crews anticipate completing the initial asphalt work in one day and will work with residents to get them in and out of their homes during the construction period.

The intersection of Main and W. Broad will be closed starting at 9:00 a.m. while the contractors working on Kress Building demolition complete a needed adjustment to equipment. The intersection is expected to reopen the same day between 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., barring any unforeseen complications.

Residents wanting to find out more about current construction projects in the area can access a detailed map that will be updated as project statuses change.
