A Texarkana man is facing criminal charges for allegedly having sex with a prostitute in front of his 13-year-old son.
Jimmy Lee Reedy, 51, allegedly hired a prostitute Jan. 21 to come to his home for sex with his teen son. The woman was allegedly holding a condom and told the boy to relax. When the teen refused to undress and have sex with the woman, Reedy allegedly made the boy watch as he had sex with her.
The boy told staff at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Texarkana that his father said, “This is how it’s done,” as he and the woman had sex in his presence, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The woman allegedly confirmed the boy’s account during an interview with investigators.
Reedy was indicted Thursday for indecency with a child by exposure by a Bowie County grand jury. The offense is punishable by two to 10 years in prison. Reedy’s indictment includes an enhancement notice that prosecutors are seeking to increase the punishment range he faces because of prior felony convictions.
