A Texarkana, Ark. Firefighter has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl.
Mike Akin, a 23 year veteran of TAFD, was arrested Wednesday morning for aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to an arrest report.
According to the arrest report a child that Akin’s daughter had babysat tested positive for gonorrhea. The child made a statement to her father that Akin was the one that, “pulled the blanket over her head and touched her.”
According to Texarkana, Ark. Fire Chief David Fletcher, “Due to the seriousness of the situation, Captain Akin has been placed on administrative leave pending future developments in the case.”
