A&M-Texarkana hosts free haircuts for students

Texas A&M University-Texarkana Student Life, the Campus Activities Board and the Cosmetology Academy of Texarkana hosts Barber and Beauty Shop today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring Colton Graf and other students of the academy in Eagle Hall in the University Center on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas. Students will receive free haircuts. There will be showings of the movies “Barber Shop” and “Beauty Shop.”

The university and the academy are partnering to give back to the students and the community in preparation for the holidays. This is also a teaching and learning opportunity for the students in the academy.

Graf explained that the Cosmetology Academy of Texarkana is enthusiastic about being more involved in the community.
